Hi, I am so pleased you found us, I’m Jo and I created, nurtured and grew Individual Design into the lovely little creative design business we have now. You are here on our first post of our new look website. WELCOME!
We finally got round to launching our new website after it being in the design stages for around 18 months! Shocking I know, especially because this is what we do for a living right? It’s kind of like the builder who doesn’t have time to fix up his own house. We are both so busy building websites and working on client content that we did the extremely naughty thing that we advise all our clients not to and totally neglected our website. It got to the stage where I was awfully embarrassed of our website. It was so out of date that it looked a mess we hadn’t updated it in years but I just didn’t have the time to create a new one and you know that saying while work is coming in why do you need to… Well, trust me you do!
Even though we have lots of website design projects on going and booked in, your website is a reflection of your business. It shows your professionalism, your attitude to your work and your commitment to your business and clients. Neglecting it reflects badly on your business. Luckily, I have many other websites we have created to showcase what we can do but it still did not get me away from the fact that the iD website was a liability.
Over the Christmas break (not really a break when you are working) and for the last week I have worked my socks off to get this new website out of design and ready to launch. I do hope you like it. We have purposely kept the site design simple, clean and minimal. We have undergone a slight brand refresh too. Nothing major just an update of colours and icon but I’ll explain why and how that came about another time.
For now I just wanted to introduce our new home and show you around a little. At the time of writing this not all our pages are complete, because I would rather have the nice basics here for you to see than to wait until the entire thing is ready.
The main area most people who come here will be heading for is our portfolio page. This page showcases some of our work and leads to project focus pages where you can see the websites we have designed and built in more detail. I have just put a few on for now to give you a flavour of the length and breath of our work. As new sites are built they will replace whats there but over time we will build up an archive of our design projects for you to see the scope of sites we get to work on.
Another key page is our about page. It gives a little more insight into us a company, our ethos, what’s important to us and how we like to work with our clients. Over time I imagine we will develop this section to include information on working with us, the onboading process and what you can expect throughout your design process if you choose to work with us.
Our services page briefly covers what iD can do to help your business. It is bare bones at the minute, but as we add to the site we will develop pages focusing on each of our services and what you can expect as clients.
The articles section is your place to find out more about us, it is our place to ramble, explain and help you on your way to a wicked website which gets found on google and helps convert browsers into buyers.
